So we have had our first nights sleep and we have somewhere to go for breakfast. Lets go outside and see what Paris is like since we got in late at night and it was dark. The Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel is at 61 Quai de Grenelle which is right on the waterfront along the Seine. From just outside the hotel we get a fabulous sight to start off the day with.

Having started our day we head out to breakfast and then a leisurely walk along La Seine. From the maps and from Google Earth it looks as though a stroll of about 30-45 minutes will get you to the base of La Tour Eiffel.
